DESCRIPTION

Early period Postal NCO Visor, produced and worn just after the Gleichschaltung that occured in 1934 and 1935, which was when the Nazis first established a system of totalitarian control and coordination over all aspects of German society.  Organizations like the post office were brought under political control in an effort to fully "Nazify" all areas of German life, and to ensure that undesirables (mostly Jews) were not able to serve in these organizations anymore.

This visor, in outstanding condition, would have been worn by a postal employee (most likely an NCO) during this early period.  Early gold eagle is present, along with the early cockade device which is void of a laurel wreath.  There is no chin cord, and does not appear that there ever was one.

An outstanding visor worthy of further research.
