DESCRIPTION

This is an extremely rare hat, produced for exclusive wear by a DAF officer.  Piping is a twist-cord variety, identical to the type found on the famous Adolf Hitler visor from the Lieber collection.  Since there are no regulations proscribing piped hats for regular generals, it can be speculated that someone high-enough in rank (such as Robert Ley) would have worn this cap, probably at a very particular function such as the Berlin Olympics or one of the Automobile shows, or the Mussolini visit.  Cap is in utterly mint condition, featuring buillion wreath and eagle.  Without a doubt a fine addition to any upper-level cap collection.  Please note: price is starting very low, as the true value of this cap is unknown.
