DESCRIPTION

Attractive tailored Police Administrative Captain's tunic that is named to a Police/SS member "Boesche" and purchased from a tailor on Hermann Göring street October 1939. The tunic is made of police mottled green trikot wool with brown wool collar and cuffs. Grey wool piping with red underlay on the boards. Hand embroidered bullion collar tabs, sleeve eagle (showing wear to the bullion), and SS runic insignia indicating that Boesche was a member of the SS.  Rock pattern with belt support buttons at the rear waist. The tunic has loops for 2 badges on the breast pocket but currently only an 1930s-made 1914 vaulted Iron Cross is there. There is a 3 medal bar that may have belonged to the original wearer, however it consists of an SS 4 Year Loyal Service medal, Austrian Anspchluss medal, and Sudetenland medal.  Since the 4 year SS loyal service medal was only worn by enlisted/NCO ranks, it would not, by regulation, be worn by a captain. The tunic is lined in artificial silk and includes a dagger/sword slit.  Very clean tunic showing only mild wear.
