This is an extraordinary piece of history, being the uniform of Alfred Schwarzmann, Army Paratrooper, who received the Knight's Cross in 1940 after having parachuted into Holland and having helped seize a key bridge in the town of Moerdijk.  The uniform is in near flawless condition with absolutely no mothing to the fine doe-skin wool material.  Buillion insignia is bright with no powdering.  The rare "FJ" insignia in gilt finish, indicating "Fallschirmjäger" (paratroops) are present on the shoulderboards. Dress Aiguillette is present.  The uniform is named on the inside pocket.  The uniform comes complete with a letter from Eric Queen, who visited Schwarzmann in the 1990s.  Queen had Schwarzmann confirm that the tunic was indeed his, and he signed photos of both the inside and outside of the tunic for purposes of establishing 100% chain of custody provenance.  Please note: The Knight's Cross is NOT included in this group, though everything else is.
