DESCRIPTION

One of the rarer souvenirs produced for the 1936 Olympics, this is a fine quality white porcelain piece by one of the oldest German porcelain producers: Fürstenberg, located in Fürstenberg in Niedersachsen. The statuette features a stylized art deco style eagle on a cylindrical base, the front of which is decorated with the Olympic 5 ring symbol. The reverse has 'Olympiade Berlin 1936' in raised letters. The underside is maker marked with the crowned 'F' logo of Fürstenberg.  The piece is undamaged and is in excellent condition.
