This beautiful forestry cutlass features an artificial damascus hunting blade that is similar in shape and size to the Teno NCO Hewer.  The handle itself is silvered, and features artificial ivory grips.  The heart of this piece is the small rosebud artificial damacus blade, upon which is etched in raised and gold letters a familiar German poem which, reads Wer nicht hat Freud am blanken Schwert / am Falkenflug / am stolzen Pferd / am schoenen Weib / der hat kein richtig Herz im Leib.  Translated, this says He who has no joy in the naked sword, the falcon in flight, or the proud horse, or the beautiful woman, has no heart."  This is a common phrase found on deluxe blades produced during the Third Reich.  The piece has no scabbard.  Gold lettering is near flawless, blade shows no rust.  Hilt is finely executed.
