Near flawless example of a "transitional" dagger, produced just after dagger producers made the switch to plated fittings and scabbard paint.  Hilt fittings are all solid nickel silver, and scabbard fittings are plated.  The match perfectly with respect to tone and finish.  Grip is early quality fruit wood, in perfect condition.  Eagle and rune are perfectly inset.  Scabbard paint is original factory finish, and is 100% present, with only light age crazing.  Plating to the scabbard fittings is 100%, and scabbard ball is perfect.  Scabbard screws are unmolested.  Leather one-piece hanger is in outstanding condition, with only light wear, and plated hardware.  Blade on this example is early quality, and features a 100% factory cross-grain finish, with a condition rating of 99%.  Other than some ultra light runnner marks and a tiny "squiggly" of corrosion that is so small it's hard to photograph, the dagger blade is perfect.  Motto etch is deep and crisp, as is the trademark   "Wilh. Kober * Co, Suhl.  Lower crossguard is "Th" marked for Thuringen.
