A solid silver example of one of the rarest badges produced during the 3rd Reich period.  Originally awarded to those injured in the July 1944 bomb plot to assassinate Hitler, it was awarded in 3 grades, in the same way as the standard wound badges were.  This is an example of the "black" version, and like the original, it's struck from solid silver (probably 800 silver).  This is not a cheap cast reproduction, but a "fooler" for those who don't bother to do their research (there are very subtle differences that distinguish this from an original).  Correct pin type, and also marked "L/12" on the back.  A great place-holder if you don't have a spare $30,000 to $40,000 to devote to hunting for an original.
