Fine quality example of this table medal, given for the last event held before the war.  Organized by the National Socialist Air Corps (NSFK).  The 1938 Germany flight was the largest aviation event ever held by international aviation to date - more than 400 aircraft participated. Due to the inexperience of many pilots and bad weather, there were several serious accidents. The medal itself is a copper plated oval medallion that depicts the NSFK logo on the front, and the medal's award number on the back.  Behind the silk inner lid is the award recipent's card, indicating this piece was awarded to "Herrn Koch."  The leatherette case is in fine quality condition with almost no wear.  Hard to find one of these for under $600.
